Green Apple Yogurt & More

A very very sad sign is posted at Green Apple Yogurt & More, 201 N Clark St.:

The Exigency of Family

Open
Monday Sept. 22th
"Thanks"

Now We're Poppin' Closed For Real This Time

They sold popcorn, closed, reopened as a popcorn/sandwich shop with secret ingredients from Subway behind the counter, and finally closed for good. Now We're Poppin' is still operating the pedway location in the Millennium Metra Station.

Argosy University - New Pedway Location

Argosy University has opened a pedway-accessible location at 225 N. Michigan Ave. I'm not sure if they teach classes on site, or if this location is meant to provide information to prospective students. Either way, the University joins a growing movement of institutions reaching out to the pedway community.

Halsted Street Deli

Halsted Street Deli has a new location in the Illinois Center. It has been very busy and full of customers. Looks like big sandwiches in a pedway-accessible location.

Pedway Units

There are some new units hanging out in the pedway tunnels. They have two wheels, some locks, and a smoke stack. They are labeled "PEDWAY" so I call them Pedway Type-1's.

Nevermind.

Now We're Poppin' is back open at the Illinois Center. I think. It looks like they are serving sandwiches now.

Now We're Poppin' Closed

Now We're Poppin' has closed it's pedway accessible location in the Illinois Center. Here's how it looked when it was under construction--

Sad. The picture of better times is from this post. Now We're Poppin' hadn't even started putting butter to corn back then.

Now they've packed things up and reboxed the Subway brand beef seasoning.

The Bose audio store in the Macy's basement is now closed. Their suggested alternative location, at 55 E. Grand, is not pedway accessible.

Barbara's Bookstore pedway section!

Barbara's Bookstore is the best book store in the pedway. And now they have a "Pedway Picks" section.

Subway restaurant 201 N. Clark

This is the Subway restaurant in the food court at 201 N. Clark. It is open later than most establishments in the building, and is fully accessible by pedway. There is a cardboard Jared Fogle at the entrance.

Wow Bao Diet Coke dispenser news

News from Wow Bao. As of April 25th, the Diet Coke tap on the right side is not functioning. A Post-it note directs patrons to "Please Use Other Diet Coke dispenser."

Washington Street Subway Damage

Something smashed into the glass at the entrance to the Blue Line subway at Washington. Not sure what it might have been. Maybe it was raining and someone slipped on the steps.

Accent Chicago

For sports and non-sports related Chicago souvenirs, you might want to visit Accent Chicago in the Millennium Metra Station. This is one of the newer memorabilia shops in town so you know the selection is fresh. Plus, it's located underground so you can stay away from all of the terrible Chicago weather/crowds. Accent Chicago is located at 151 E. Randolph Street.
